Q. Are all staff qualified?
Physiotherapist: Registered with the UK Health Professions Council (HPC) and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) Fitness Instructors: National Register of Personal Trainers (NRPT)

Q. What conditions do you treat?
We treat all muscle and joint problems. Please contact us to see ho we can help you.

Q. How do I pay?
We accepts payments by cash or cheque.

Q. Have you got both male and female physiotherapists?
Yes we have both male and female staff.

Q. What is your Cancellation Policy?
At least 24 hours notice is required, or a penalty fee of 50% of the initial cost will be charged.

Q. Do you provide home visits?
Yes. These can be arranged.

Q. What can a physiotherapist treat?
Chartered Physiotherapists are qualified to treat all areas of the body. They are specialists in functional movement, and are therefore, able to treat spinal problems (In fact this is a large percentage of their workload), general aches/pains, muscular and ligamentous injuries, fractures, post-operative surgery and also to assess and correct postural problems related to work and every day life.

Q. What treatment to physiotherapists use?
Treatment varies according to the Physiotherapist and can range from Manipulation, Soft tissue massage, stretching, scar tissue massage, taping, exercises and strengthening regimes. The use of electrotherapy such as ultrasound and interferential treatments are also governed. This is the use of electrical energy to promote healing, reduce swelling, pain and muscle spasm.

Q. How quickly can I be seen?
We will endeavour to offer an appointment on the same day or within 48hrs of enquiry.

Q. How long does each session last?
The initial consultation will last approximately 45 minutes, with an explanation of your problem and a treatment plan. This will consist of setting realistic goals by yourself and the therapist. Follow up sessions will last up to 30 minutes. On discharge from Baseline Physiotherapy, correspondence can be made with your GP to update your medical records.

Q. What should I wear?
The therapist will need to assess and examine the affected part of the body, for the lower limb bring shorts, for back problems bring a pair of shorts and a loose t-shirt or vest.

Q. How often will I attend physiotherapist?
Ultimately the choice is yours. However, the physiotherapist will advise you in their professional experience on the number of treatments you require.

Q. Do I need a doctor’s referral for physiotherapy treatment?
No you do not.

Q. Is the cost of physiotherapy covered by my medical insurance?
All our Physiotherapists are registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and Health Professions Council (HPC) This makes you eligible to claim costs back form most insurers. To discuss a particular insurer please contact us.
