Paediatric physiotherapy

Paediatric physiotherapists treat children from birth to 18 years. Their aim is to enable each child to reach their potential by encouraging normal movement patterns and preventing any complications for the future allowing the child to be as independent as possible.

We specialise in treating children with: Specific conditions include:
  • Fractures
  • Abnormal gait pattern
  • Delayed gross/fine motor skills
  • Growing pains
  • Down's Syndrome
  • Cystic Fibrosis
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Dyspraxia
  • Joint pain
  • Muscular Dystrophy
  • Asthma
  • Torticollis
  • Juvenile arthritis
  • Hypermobility

Advice is given by our paediatric physiotherapists to the families and carers about their child's condition and what treatment plans can be put in place at home in order for the child to make the maximum potential.

Our physiotherapists have regular contact with other health professionals such as occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and orthotists. This ensures your child has the input they require as and when they are needed.

Liverpool Physio delivers a service where treatment can take place either in our city centre clinic or the child's home or school setting.

To make an appointment with one of our paediatric physiotherapists then please email us at office@liverpoolphysio.co.uk or phone us on 0151 558 0077.
