Biomechanical Podiatry is aimed at assessing the movement and function of the lower limb including how the muscles, ligaments and joints are working together. It is common for a dysfunction to occur in people overtime, or as a result of over training or injury. Dysfunctions can lead to problems such as inefficient biomechanics, tight muscles, and lax ligaments. Problems caused by dysfunctions in movement and function when walking or running often result in pain in the lower limb.
